Isle-roam began in 2014 when a small group of local guides decided that visitors deserved more than surface-level tourism. We wanted to share the Atlantic Provinces the way we knew them: through the stories of fishing families, the hidden coves only locals frequent, and the traditions that have shaped these communities for centuries.

What started as a single van and four passionate guides has grown into a team of over thirty specialists, each bringing their own connection to the region. Our guides are historians, naturalists, chefs, and musicians who happen to lead tours.

We believe that meaningful travel happens when you step away from the expected. That is why our itineraries weave through back roads, stop at family-run establishments, and create space for the unexpected encounters that become your favorite memories.

Our Team

The people of Isle-roam come from across Atlantic Canada and beyond. What unites us is a shared belief that this region holds something special, something worth protecting and sharing thoughtfully.

Our guides bring backgrounds in marine biology, Mi'kmaq history, Celtic music, culinary arts, and wilderness navigation. Several are published authors. Many were born in the fishing villages they now introduce to visitors. All are certified in wilderness first aid and committed to traveler wellbeing.

Behind the scenes, our operations team coordinates logistics with the same care our guides bring to storytelling. We work directly with accommodation providers, restaurants, and activity operators to ensure seamless experiences.
